Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo did not always see eye to eye during their time together at Real Madrid, despite enjoying enormous success together.
The pair combined to astonishing effect in the 2011/12 season when Real toppled arch rivals Barcelona to win La Liga, finishing the campaign with 100 points scoring121 goals in the process.
Ronaldo was an integral part of Real’s success in a side which also boasted the considerable goalscoring talents of Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain.
Mourinho added Luka Modric to the mix during the summer of 2012 but with Barcelona again asserting their dominance the Special One began to feel the strain never more so than, according to the Croatia midfielder, during a Copa del Rey match when he lost his temper with Ronaldo in a row that left his Portuguese compatriot close to tears.
