Bundesliga roundup: How MLS, United States exports fared on Matchday 29

The Bundesliga continued with Matchday 29 this weekend, and again several MLS exports and US men’s national team players featured across Germany.

Sorted by game, here’s how they all fared during the fan-less matches amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

FC Schalke 0, Werder Bremen 1

USMNT striker Josh Sargent started and played 70 minutes in Werder Bremen’s crucial 1-0 victory as they fight to stave off relegation. He didn’t get on the scoresheet, but logged a solid shift before making way for Philipp Bargfrede. Meanwhile, USMNT midfielder and FC Dallas product Weston McKennie started and went 55 minutes before being subbed off for Nassim Boujellab. McKennie received a yellow card and was nearly sent off for another challenge.  Continue reading
