Real Madrid attacking midfielder Oscar Rodriguez had a wonderful 2019-2020 season on loan at Leganes, and he’s ready for the next challenge in his career.

With Isco back in form, Marco Asensio set to return from injury, Takefusa Kubo looking like a future star, and Martin Odegaard already one of La Liga’s top attacking players, Real Madrid have plenty of current and potential stars at the No. 10 position. And that list doesn’t even include recent acquisition Reinier Jesus, whose upside is on par with Odegaard’s.

The above list also doesn’t include Oscar Rodriguez, who is Real Madrid’s hidden gem. Loanees like Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Reguilon, and Odegaard were tremendous in 2019-2020 and are among Europe’s best players at their positions, but Oscar also had an exceptional season at Leganes.

Oscar’s seven goals and two assists tell a significant part of the story, as he was the man responsible for the most goal contributions on the team. Many of Oscar’s goals were from brilliant shots outside the box or were important late goals, as he has done everything he can to keep Leganes afloat in La Liga.
