Jurgen Klopp has become the latest name in football to give his opinion on who comes out on top between Lionel Messi and .

The debate continues to wage on, with the two dominating European football for years now and firmly establishing themselves as two of the greatest players to ever grace the pitch.

The pair enjoyed an iconic rivalry down the years in La Liga, winning it all at both and respectively before Ronaldo joined in the summer of 2018.

Messi just about pips Ronaldo in the Ballon d’Or stakes – winning six so far to Ronaldo’s five.

And now Klopp has weighed in on the debate over the two football greats, claiming he would just about pick Messi despite labelling Ronaldo the ‘perfect player’.

‘For me Messi, but I couldn’t admire Ronaldo more than I do already,’ Klopp told YouTube channel freekickerz.
