The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr Marie Gréta Roy Clément accompanied by the Director General of the MSPP, Dr Lauré Adrien received, Monday May 11, 2020 at Toussaint Louverture International Airport, a second shipment of materials and equipment ordered by the Haitian government to fight the spread of COVID-19
This second shipment contains 75,500 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), 25,000 medical overcoats, 500 beds and 150,000 N95 masks, 5,000 plastic coats and 500 full beds. These materials will be distributed progressively to medical personnel throughout the country.
Dr Clément guaranteed that these materials will be immediately sent to health facilities to provide care to patients infected with the new coronavirus. She recalls that this cargo is part of the five 463 tons of medical supplies ordered in China to strengthen the treatment facilities for patients of Covid-19 in Haiti.
The co-chair of the COVID-19 multisectoral pandemic management commission, Dr Lauré Adrien, said that the materials ordered are of good quality and that he has faith in the company that made them. Continue reading
