Less than 24 hours after the solidarity march organized this Monday, May 4 at the Croix-des-Bouquets ranch in support of Yves Jean Bart, president of the Haitian Football Federation, who was accused sexually assaulted female footballers, the Ministry of women affairs is investigating the claims.

In a news release sent to the Juno7, Minister Marie Giselhaine Mompremier said that she took charge of the case. The minister seems to want to ensure that justice is done for the alleged victims.

Without a formal complaint against Jean Bart, Marie Giselhaine Mompremier said that she asked the Minister of Justice and Public Security, LucmaneDelille to instruct the government commissioner to open an investigation against the Jean Bart after the British newspaper “The Guardian” story that the president of Haiti’s soccer federation sexually abused women players.
