Christian Pulisic has declared himself fully fit and ready to go, which is good news for both the US men’s national team and Chelsea.
The 21-year-old, who is home in Hershey, PA during the stoppage of the Premier League season due to the coronavirus pandemic, told Chelsea’s website he has fully recovered from a nagging adductor injury initially suffered in early January.
Pulisic initially returned to training in late January, but suffered a setback. He returned to training in early March where he competed in an in-house 11-v-11 scrimmage. His last appearance for the Blues came on Jan. 1 vs. Brighton and Hove Albion.
Reportedly, Chelsea want their overseas players back by Sunday ahead of a potential restart to the season.
“I’m feeling great. Right before this whole thing happened I was actually back in training and feeling really good and ready to go,” Pulisic said. “It was really unfortunate timing. As soon as I felt like I was back, now this has happened. It is what it is. Now I just have a bit more time to get it completely right and be 100 percent ready once I’m back. Continue reading…
