Jovenel Moïse underlined that the unemployment rate in the country is already very high and the whole world will experience an economic recession after the pandemic.
According to the nation’s leader, each country will do everything to recapitalize its national companies. “If we do not prepare today, after the coronavirus we will have a lot of problems,” the president said.
Moise said he asked his Prime Minister to speed up the process of setting up the economic unit which will allow reflection to see how to revive the country’s economy after the coronavirus.
The head of state said further that the Ministry of Agriculture has already started with the plowing of agricultural sectors in several areas. He said he asked the Minister of Agriculture to distribute short-cycle seeds in these areas. “Only in this way can we prepare for the famine that comes with the passing of the demon we call coronavirus,” Moïse said.
