Inter and Juventus are to battle it out for the signing of Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa according to a report from Italian news outlet PassioneInter.com.
The two arch rivals have been long term admirers of the attacker who is widely regarded as one of the most promising Italian prospects out there at the moment.
Fiorentina president and owner Rocco Commisso made a pact with Chiesa for him to stay for at least another season – which he has now done – and Chiesa is expecting the club to be a lot more open with regard to a possible sale.
Chiesa will cost any interested club no less than €70 million and the report goes on to add that both Inter and Juventus hope to be able to bring the price down by offering some players as part of any deal.
This season Chiesa has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 2100 minutes on the park, he has scored seven goals and provided five assists.
