It is being reported in the Italian media that Cristiano Ronaldo may have to leave Juventus sooner than he intended due to the financial crisis that is looming for the Turin-based club due to the coronavirus pandemic.
If he does depart the club he joined in 2018, there aren’t many options for him to find a new home.
Realistically, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United stand out as the main potential landing spots.
They both have the financial resources to afford him and there are other factors going their way.
At Manchester United, Ronaldo remains an idol for what he achieved at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2009.
At PSG, they have the money and have gone for star players in the past, although they would surely have to lose one of Neymar of Kylian Mbappe to be able to bring in the No.7.
In terms of the other giants of Europe, many can be essentially ruled out of such a race.
