Olympique Lyonnais President Jean-Michel Aulas will not exclude the option of playing on a “neutral ground” in the return leg against Juventus.
The coronavirus outbreak has caused a stir in the Italian League, but it could also affect the Champions League, as the Old Lady are preparing to host Lyon for their return leg of the last 16 in the competition.
The patron of the Ligue 1 club has accepted that it could be a solution to play in a neutral stadium.
“The UEFA will decide where we play. There are some new elements to evaluate because Juventus’ U23 team has been quarantined,” he told L’Equipe. “They are worried about four players.
“And the reserves train with the first team. We’ll see what happens. I’ll wait to hear what UEFA says. I hope good news arrives and, in the worst case, it can’t be excluded that we play in a neutral ground.” Continue reading
