Juno7 reported that the Embassy of the United States in Haiti posted a tweet which stated the government “condemns recent violence in Haiti and urges Haitians to reject the violence and respect the rule of law.  We encourage all Haitians to engage in constructive dialogue to resolve their differences.”

Luis Almagro, of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS), expressed condolences to the families of the victims, said OAS condemned the violence in the country. “We [OAS] plead for the solutions that the country needs: stop the violence, because violence is not acceptable in any form, and above all it is not acceptable with the intention of a violent change in the established democratic regime.”
