The Banque de la République d’Haïti launched on Wednesday, Feb. 19, the BRH Fund for Research and Development. The fund is intended to help support the Haitian scientific community by supporting research activities that address a crucial issue for the benefit of sustainable and inclusive development of the country reported Juno7. Jean Baden Dubois, Governor of the Banque de la Republique d’Haïti stated in a speech during the launch, that the creation of this fund (FRD-BRH) was motivated by a weakness in scientific research and production. This weakness is linked, among other things, to a lack of coordinated efforts in terms of existing skills dedicated to promoting research.
