The deadly coronavirus outbreak has put Manchester United’s potential pre-season tour to China this summer in doubt.
Old Trafford chiefs have been in talks over a return to China ahead of next season to take part in their annual high-profile fixtures.
United enjoyed a successful tour there last season where they faced Tottenham in Shanghai and China bosses were keen to get the Premier League giants back for a longer stint.
However ESPN has claimed that those talks are now on hold due to their fears over the current situation, with the death toll from China’s coronavirus epidemic soaring past 1,000.
China also announced that the daily death toll from the virus topped 100 for the first time, with 1,016 total deaths now recorded.
