Awareness, surveillance measures on coronavirus reinforced

On Tuesday, Feb.4, the Ministry of Public Health and Population with the support of the National Airport Authority organized a training session for airport executives, ground service providers and airline managers at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport.  According to Le Nouvelliste, the session focused on making them aware of the risks of the spread of the coronavirus and their role in prevention of this disease. “It was important for us to meet with airline officials because they are the first links in the chain. If you have a good filtration and sorting system, you have a good chance of controlling the spread of the virus,” stated Dr. Lauré Adrien, General Director, Ministry of Public Health and Population. Call for candidates for scholarships in France

On Wednesday, Jan.  29, Jose Gomez, French ambassador to Haiti, along with its partners Agence universitaire de la francophonie (AUF), the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) and the Sogebank Foundation officially launched a call for candidates for scholarships in France.  Per Le Nouvelliste, the scholarship will allow a new cohort of students to fly to France to further their studies in masters and doctorate programs for the academic year 2020/2021. Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed Juventus gives him “the chance to win” another Champions League title and said “it’s possible” with the current team.
