New technology in the radiology sector
Jan. 31, Dr. Djinaud Prophète, project initiator and Marc Alain Boucicault, Banj founder, officially launched Radiokam, a platform which will allow clinics to access quality interpretations of medical tests online according to Juno7. As a business-to-business platform, clinics and hospitals registered at Radiokam will send their exams that will be analyzed by certified radiologists.
The work of several Haitian developers, Radiokam is one of the first two startups to join the Banj Accelerator program in May 2019. Continue reading
75,000 meals for the hungry in Haiti
On Feb. 1, St. Mark’s Church welcomed parishioners and volunteers from Temple Judea and the Muslim Community Center of Palm Beach County, who took part of their “Food Packing for Haiti” project. Winning National Palace Design Projects Grand Vision Of Rebirth For Haiti
The architectural firm Raco Deco’s winning design for a new national palace includes a grand boulevard running through the Champs de Mars square, a large pyramid honoring earthquake victims and a replica of the old palace structure that stood for 90 years.
The selection of a design “is indicative of the government and the people in Haiti starting to take the initiative to bring to the forefront a new vision for the country, so I think that is a point of hope and a point of optimism,” said Rodney Leon, owner of the New York-based Rodney Leon Architects. The firm collaborated with Archivolt S.A. to submit a design proposal that was not ultimately selected by the government. Continue reading
