Old Haiti National ID Card Set to Expire Dec. 31

Beginning Dec. 31, the old national identification card will be replaced by a new card that will be issued by German firm Dermalog, Le Nouvelliste reported. According to a representative from the National Identification Office (ONI), nearly 6 million people in Haiti are eligible for an identification card. To register, applicants should bring either their birth or baptism certificate and their old ID card.
