On Dec. 26, secretary general of Konbit Nasyonal and Démocrates Nationaux Progressistes, Eric Jean-Baptiste and Senator Joseph Lambert, met with President Jovenel Moise, Le Nouvelliste reported.  Paul Denis, from the political organization INIFOS declined an invitation to the meeting, demanding neutral ground other than the National Palace for discussions. 

“We made the decision to continue to meet for the rest of 2019 in neutral territory with the civil society sector and the political parties that would like to find a peaceful solution to the crisis,” said Jean-Baptiste

Born into a Haitian family in Stone Mountain GA. , Rachele visited Haiti several times in her youth and connected to the country and the culture.
