Boston nonprofit to host gala to support its activities in the US, Haiti and the Bahamas
EPECARE, Inc., a Boston-based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides healthcare, public health, and public safety training to the Haitian community both at home and abroad; will be hosting its second annual gala on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 6:30 PM until 11 PM at Partners Healthcare Headquarters in Somerville, MA in order to sustain its activities. The Gala will feature performances by signer Rebecca Zama and the Noche Latina dance troop.
In the last year EPECARE conducted multiple classes for Boston youth in conjunction with the Boston Public Health Commission; trained and established a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and will be training and organizing another team this month.
It is in the process of shipping multiple cargo containers of donated durable healthcare goods to Haiti, and have deployed a team to train the Haitian population in the Bahamas that has been dislocated by the recent hurricanes. Continue reading
