RDNP denounces Petrocaribe amnesty conspiracy

The Secretary General of the Rally of Progressive National Democrats (RDNP)  Eric Jean Baptiste is launching a campaign against the draft amnesty for certain officials and entrepreneurs involved in the squandering of Petrocaribe funds.

Small Haitian delegation to represent the Pan American Games

Vanessa Clerveaux is the best medal hope for Haiti at the Pan Am Games, which will take place in Lima (Peru) from July 26 to August 15, 2019. 

The Haitian delegation will win a gold medal at the Pan American games this year with runner Vanessa Clerveaux which will take place in Lima, Peru from July 26 to August 15. The games will bring together 12,000 athletes from 41 countries and a small delegation of eight athletes in six sports disciplines for Haiti who hope to win a medal. Continue reading

Haitian soccer player fired from club due to absence

Weeks following Haiti’s impressive performance at the Gold Cup, Donald Guerrier has been dismissed from his club Qarabağ FK Tuesday due to absence according to the team’s Facebook page. 

Guerrier, who is currently in Haiti, did not join the club “on the agreed date” and “did not participate in the meeting with Partizani during the qualifying phase of the Champions League, nor at the ‘training’ according to the club’s website. The reason for his dismissal reportedly stems from him not really wanting to join the Azerbaijani championship after his participation with Haiti in the Gold Cup. Continue reading

26 dead and 167 injured in road accidents from July 8-14 in Haiti

Twenty-six dead and 167 wounded have been reported in more than 40 road accidents from Monday July 8 to Sunday, July 14, according to a count organization of technical and operational services to prevent accidents. These statistics have been the worst since January 2019. 

To date, no concrete and effective provision has been put in place by the Haitian government to prevent traffic accidents. Continue reading
