Le Nouvelliste reports that Edmond Bocchit, Minister of Foreign Affairs was at the head of a delegation that included the governor of the central bank, Jean Baden Dubois; the President’s advisor, Clifford Reginald Nau and other public figures that has been in Qatar for several days.

Haiti: Saint-Marc Has Faced Black-out for more than Two Weeks

For more than two weeks, the people of Saint-Marc have been complaining about the lack of electricity that is apparently caused by a lack of fuel.
Kema Adrien, head of communication of Haiti’s Electricity in Saint-Marc, is aware of this shortage which has lasted too long. He indicated that a request for fuel supply has already been sent to the central office of Haiti’s Electricity, le National reports. Continue reading

Police Inspection in the North of Haiti

Le National reports that a delegation of the General Inspectorate of the National Police of Haiti (IGPNH), with 27 police and administrative staff, visited the North last week. This tour meets IGPNH’s obligations to visit the country’s 10 geographic departments at least once a year.
“This investigation and inspection tour is part of our mission to inspect, control and inquire about the conditions and evolution of the police regarding the rules of discipline and deontology of the police institution, their relations with the population and local authorities”, said Benjamin Jean Claude, divisional commissioner, deputy spokesman of the IGPNH.
The collected data will be submitted to the Directorate General of the National Police of Haiti. Continue reading
