Me, as a dominican hope haitian people find other countries to go to,instead going to dominican republic we are a poor nation and we can not tolerate the burden of too many haitians already in dominican republic, that s the the people forced the government not to sign the migration pact, because the O.N.U. was looking for the Dominica republic to Carrie on its shoulders the haitian people and we rather die fighting to expel all haitians from our country.

I am Haitian and I believe we shouldn’t be a burden for Domican Republic. It’s time for Haitians to learn to stay home and build Haiti and use all the resouces available for the wellfare of all the Haitian people. Haitians are very smart and don’t need to migrate to a foreign country to get a better life. The Japanese, the Chinese and so many other countries create infrastructure for economic development. They don’t migrate for economic opportunities. The Haitians on the other hands lose hope in their leaders who failed completely to develop Haiti to create opportunity for all Haitians, instead swim in the pool of corruptions, ” Me first before country and society.” Such mentality prevent Haiti from moving forward.
Time will come when they will realize their mistakes and will stay home and start working to overcome all their challenges to move Haiti forward.

You sound really stupid, if it wasn’t for Haitians there would be no DR, learn your history, your probably of Haitian descent yourself, dumbass

The real issue concerning the dominican’s mentality against the Haitian communities are twofold : historical and economical …Ever since there are borders between two states , the flow of merchandise and people are intense ! Dominican folks are low educated in the sense that they do not ponder over the historical bonds that unite the two wings of the same bird ( Island ) – There exists within the Bateys in DR a modern apartheid system or SLAVERY worst than the old version from South Africa…Haitians there got no rights at ALL and all male are condemned to cut sugarcane to build the wealth of this Italian descent family – 17,000 dominicans live in Haïti , demands to be paid in U.S currency and earn a decent life out of the haitian’s prejudice and traditional ethnic taboos …dominican got more than 100 spots where they dump their goods into blackmarket smuggling items and weapons to Haïti – It’s nonsense and Haitian Times never ever address the issue …You guys are partials and devoid of any ethical and fairness and moral values or principles …Garry Pierre Pierre is said to have won prizes …and Haitian Times is beating its chest as the voice of the Haitian Diaspora ? It’a a subtle LIE …because you guys are not investigating issues …Haiti is misrepresented through your so-called medium …Check and balance Miami Herald is a better reference – The bottom line issue is that Haiti is run by idiots , incompetent unprepared folks that receives bribes from the rich light skin minority

It is not Haitians fault that they need to migrate. Neo colonilist west keep desruption going in Haiti by installing corrupt dictators, robbing Haiti of scarce resources. The history of Haiti is vile enslavement by the French who they over thru and France returned and threatened to destroy Haiti with canon fire if Haiti did not repay them hundreds of millions for loss of land and slaves.
