Haiti : Culture Minister Jean Michel Lapin in the US to close potential deals with museum
Minister of Culture and Communication, Jean Michel Lapin, went to Washington recently to strengthen the links between the Ministry and international partners in the conservation of cultural sites.
During this trip, the Director of the Museum of African Art (NMAfA), Gus Casely-Hayford and Karen Milbourne, curator at NMAfA. Mr. Casely-Hayford was very interested in the history of the country and its relationship with Benin. He wants the cooperation to be based on a more ambitious project. This brings the Haitian delegation to reflect, currently, on the concept of a “Museum of the Haitian Revolution”, with three components: the history of the struggle for independence of the country, the Vodou and the arts, Radio Metropole reports.
