Haiti : Contraband Products Confiscated in Customs Area.
Firearms, ammunition, drugs used for smuggling were seized in the border area during the year 2018. Legal proceedings were instituted against several traffickers.
The operations are carried out in collaboration with the National Police, the Anti-Drug Trafficking Brigade, the Anti-Corruption Unit, the Ministry of Justice and the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police. Le National reports Continue reading
Haiti- Economic and Social Assistance Fund Helps less Fortunate
From November 22 to 25, more than 52 disadvantaged neighborhoods in the metropolitan area benefited from the “Bourad Manje” program of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund in collaboration with the Ministry of Sectoral Affairs, which consisted in the distribution of dry rations such as rice, spaghetti, oil and beans.

Customs excesses have been increased by 9 billion gourdes for 2017-2018 fiscal year compared to 2016-2017. That is 19 billion gourdes this fiscal year (2017-2018) and 10 billion last year (2016-2017).

Haitian National Police Attacked Again by Angry Mob
Camecio Simon, a taxi driver, was killed by a policeman on November 27, when Haitian National Police agents were carrying out an operation. Revolted by this murder, the population set Beaumont police station on fire. Radio Television Caraibes reports
