Last month hundreds of people gathered at the Karibe Hotel in Petion Ville to celebrate the 8th annual Gouts et Saveurs Lakay food festival. The highlight of the weekend-long affair was the Village Gourmand, a culinary delight. Fair goers were presented with an array of amazing Creole and international dishes. Garry Pierre-Pierre is a Pulitzer-prize winning, multimedia and entrepreneurial journalist. In 1999, he left the New York Times to launch the Haitian Times, a New York-based English-language publication serving the Haitian Diaspora.
