Haitian Prime Minister Jean Henry Ceant called on the population to remain vigilant during the current hurricane season and adopt the measures dictated by the authorities.
The announcement comes amid the expectation of the trajectory of Hurricane Isaac, which in the early hours of Monday continued to move west, towards the Lesser Antilles, with sustained winds of 75 miles per hour, according to the latest report of the National Hurricane Center.
Experts from the meteorological agency predict that by Friday the system will pass more than 100 miles south of Puerto Rico, and is expected to strengthen in the next two days, while it could increase its speed of translation. Continue reading
