
MONTREAL- Award-winning actress, entrepreneur, filmmaker and producer, Fabienne Colas was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 last month. Colas and her peers were selected from over 800 nominees by an independent advisory comprised of more than 20 business leaders from across Canada.
“Being a recipient of the prestigious Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 award is a true honor for me and my community,” Colas said. “This national recognition is a tribute to the hard work we have been doing at the Fabienne Colas Foundation to promote and foster diversity and inclusion in the arts and in our society. This award encouraged me more than ever to continue breaking down barriers and building more bridges.”
Colas founded the Fabienne Colas Foundation in 2007, a nonprofit organization committed to advancing education through the arts. It has become a key player in supporting creation, production, promotion, and distribution in the Canadian and international film, art, and cultural industries. The organization’s signature events include the Montreal Black Film Festival and Festival Haiti en Folie.
Colas and the other recipients will be honored at honored at the Top 40 Awards Night Gala to be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Center on Nov. 21.
