Haitian-American pop star Jason Joel Desrouleaux aka “Jason Derulo” touched down in Haiti on Saturday, March 17. The singer and songwriter was accompanied by his parents, and welcome to Cap Haitian by Jessy Meno, the minister of tourism. He’ll be shooting the official music video for his new song “Colors,” which he’ll be performing in Russia during the opening ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup on June 14.
“Through my years of travel, I’ve been able to see the beauty in our cultural differences and I wrote ‘Colors’ to celebrate that diversity and be a part of the amazing energy that sports fans around the world give to their teams,” Derulo said of the song in a statement.
“It’s a tournament that celebrates athletic excellence and I’m honored to provide the soundtrack.”
