The event, started with both the American and Haitian national anthems.International poets Angie Bell and Andre Fouad read poems, and guests were serenaded by singer Dayana. HMI stars Ritchie from Klass and Harmonik, were also in attendance.  Keynote speaker, Jeff Lozama, illustrated the importance of having not only an organization like ECLAT Haiti, but also having young members dedicated their lives to giving back to their home country.

ECLAT is made up of a group of young professionals who founded a non-profit organization, with the aim of putting a positive view of Haiti on an international platform all while empowering the Haitian community. As the youth of Haiti, they want to contribute to their beautiful homeland and bring it back to its original status of “Pearl of the Caribbean.”
