$2 million set aside to help deported Dominico-Haitians
Nearly $2 million has been allocated to meet critical humanitarian and protection needs of people of Haitian origin who were expelled from the Dominican Republic,the United Nations’ Central Emergency Response Fund announced. The money will be used to cover increased protection and humanitarian needs that were created with the arrival of tens of thousands of migrants from the Dominican Republic to Haitian border towns.
USAID launches Konbit
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) launched the program “Konbit” at Best Western on Thursday.The project aims to support capacity management, financial planning for companies Haitian associations, non-governmental groups and social service organizations that engage in social and economic development in the country.
