With the theme Nourrir Haiti” (Feed Haiti), Haiti Fashion Week 2015 transformed Karibe Hotel this weekend into the place to be for Haitian designers and fashion lovers.

The fourth annual fashion event opened Thursday with a morning press conference followed by a pre-runway show introduction by guest-of-honor Stella Jean later that evening.  The night closed with a concert and cocktail reception. On Friday, the French Institute hosted a workshop and held film viewings. The day ended with runway shows from several designers, including Yolette Lesuperbe, from Guadeloupe and Robert Young, of Trinidad.

Forty national and international designers, including four Project Runway Designers, presented looks which were in line with this year’s theme. The collections were enticing, full of color and pizzazz. Some of the trends set by the designers were fashion forward.  Lesuperbe’s use of lace was fascinating while Perlock accessorizes her collection herself.

Haiti Fashion Week wraps up Sunday, Nov. 8
