Preliminary presidential elections results are postponed until Nov.5, the Provisional Electoral Council, which goes by the French acronym CEP, announced late Tuesday night. The results were originally to be released on Nov.3, however due to findings from a special commission established to document voter complaints, the results were delayed.

This measure was taken in order to provide the Voter Tabulation Center some time to review grievances and evidence, verify and make corrections. Of 162 submitted complaints, 46 were deemed justifiable.
