Haiti Fashion Week begins on Nov. 5 with the theme this year Nourrir Haïti (Nurture Haiti).

France, which is well known for its mega fashions houses, and is a reference in international fashion, is the country of honor this year.  It will be represented by a cross section of professionals.  The guest of honor is prominent Haitian-Italian designer Stella Jean.

Fashion Week is a platform, which spotlights the many talents of Haitian designers.  It also affords up-and-coming designers an opportunity to display their creations.

“We are consumed by the will to showcase Haitian creativity,” said Marguy Durcé, a key figure of the organizing institution, while expressing readiness to face the challenges of the fashion industry.  She did not hide her pride in being at the root of an event which has become three years later “a pioneer in Caribbean fashion.”

Fashionistas have been awaiting Haiti Fashion Week 2015 for a while now and the day will soon be upon us.  Stay tuned as we discover the collections of national and international participants.
