An invitation to the third edition of the Solidarity Meeting Cuba-Haiti “Antenor Firmin” was extended to all Haitians, friends of Haiti and those in the Diaspora by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP). The meeting is scheduled for January 4 -11, 2016 in a few Cuban cities including Santiago de Cuba, Holguin and Camaguey, also known as the “The City of Haitian Traditions.”

Participants will have the opportunity to visit historical sites, and partake in social and cultural activities.  They will also take part of exchanges on Cuban current events with representatives of different political parties and organizations in Cuba, and descendants of the Haitian community living on the island.

Registration is open until Dec. 1.  

Born into a Haitian family in Stone Mountain GA. , Rachele visited Haiti several times in her youth and connected to the country and the culture. She moved to Haiti in 2009, where she put her English degree to use as a writer, using her voice and pen to promote tourism in the country and highlight the richness of the Haitian culture and people.
