Style File: Navy Is The New Black

By Melissa P. Bernier, @MelissaPBernier

Dayanne Danier, founder of Bien Abyé, designs with the fabulously chic woman in mind.  At the heart of Bien Abyé’s Fall/Winter ready to wear collection is “a French style that is sophisticated and chic with a Creole influence.” The philosophy behind the brand is simple – to make women look fabulous at all times.

Rich fabrics.  Deep tones.  A hint of vibrant color.  Intricate detailing.

Bien Abyé’s Fall/Winter collection is an interesting and well-executed take on the season itself.  This collection captures the depth and multi-dimensional nature of the fall and winter months.  The juxtaposition of lush fabrics such as cashmere, gabardine and wool, in shades of deep blue and black, with lightweight yellow silk and chiffon mimic the sunlit chilly days of autumn followed by winter’s cold nights.

Evidence of Danier’s inspiration for the collection – elaborate Gingerbread house architecture and latticework design details – can be found in the intricate detailing. Butterfly patterns, eyelet, leather trim, lace and herringbone detail add to the elegance and sophistication of the collection.

Romantic.  Chic.  Feminine. Effortless.

More than just the proclamation that navy is the new black (which it in fact is), the collection offers women S7VEN styles that not only enhance any wardrobe but also allows a woman to be fabulously fierce, while making life (at least as it pertains to choosing and outfit) easier.  The pieces are interchangeable, versatile, wonderfully effortless and most importantly, timeless.

Living up to its name, Bien Abyé’s Fall/Winter collection truly allows any woman who wears it to be well dressed.
