Montreal-based Haitian indie pop band Jjanice + released their latest video “Fleur du Désert” (Desert Flower) this week. Jjanice’s music blends spoken word poetry, indie pop, soul music and Afro-Caribbean French / Creole influences.
Jjanice+ music is a journey through a world of indie rock, soul, electropop and Afro-Caribbean influences recalling his native Haiti. It’s a sound full of rich subtleties, composed with long-time collaborator Patrice Agbokou and reknowned Montreal producer Haig Vee. Jjanice+ intertwines atmospheres and uses his gift for storytelling, his talent and sensibility to create a unique and personal output. His song Fleur du Désert (Desert Flower) speaks of the constant search of the ideal, whether it be love, life, the eldorado.
