Haitian artist Wesli has been awarded the Babel Music 2010, ex-aexequo with Marseillean band Lo Cor de la Plana during the opening ceremony. The prize is given to an artist and professional in the world music genre. The Babel Music is the only prize organized by the festival’s jury, formed with artistic directors, programmers. The other prizes are handling by advertisers, France Musique, Phonocapa, and Mondomix. He will close the MMM au Rythmes du Monde” this week.
