Old school Haitian Compas band Volo Volo is reforming after a sudden rise in interest in the music market. Uninspired by younger bands that are firing crowds in New York, Florida, and Haiti, several band member and friends decided to spice up the Haitian music industry by putting a new song together for their return. Their new found enthusiasm will be put to test at the end of the month in a one night performance. To mark their return, the band will soon release a new album. About two decades ago, when they formed, Volo Volo quickly found local fame by playing at every club and every Haitian community and recording their own compositions as well and releasing more than eight albums, including the 1980 “Nou Nan Wout”, that could have been a perfect title for their return.
