“The managers have left the country after the earthquake and didn’t say anything to nobody, not even a phone call.” Those are the words of Krezi conga player Serge Laguerre, who apparently is frustrated with the situation, and has decided to leave the band and join New York’s TEMPO. This type of move may be the most common in the Haitian music industry, but Serge says that he has to work and TEMPO has offered him the job, he just grabbed the opportunity. “Inevitably it is a personal choice, but the important factor is how all the band members relate to each other, I can get on well with the other members of TEMPO”, he said. Laguerre, drummer Jean Dahnis Vilaire “Black EZ” and Serge Brourdeau, are all members of Krezi to Join TEMPO,
