Pierrot Alkhal has taken a risky route of re-forming his old band, The Gypsies, even though only few original members are involved. Alkhal has returned to the studio with some of his band mates to record a new album, set to be released early next year. And for the sake of a older generation that he wants to turn on to the band’s music, he is doing it with passion and hope that he’ll get a positive response. The new album will contain 11 tracks, some of which were a re-creation of Gypsies’ old songs that were considered hits. The defunct band has also announced the release of “The Reunion” a live disc of their recent shows in New York, Miami, and Montreal and a short string of new tour dates in Haiti.
