In an effort to better coordinate and promote Jazz in the Caribbean, several organizations have called a meeting to find with best practices to showcase one of the most musical genres in the world.
The theme of the conference is “Jazz from the Caribbean Perspective.”
The Institute of Caribbean Studies (INEC), the León Jimenes Cultural Center (Centro León), and the Ministry of Culture of the Dominican Republic has summoned jazz festival producers in the countries around the Caribbean sea to a Regional Meeting of Greater Caribbean Jazz Festivals.
This meeting will be held on April 15-17, 2011, in the facilities of the Centro León in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.
