Luckner “Luco” Desir of Radio Vision 2000 is hoping to run for public office. But without proper qualifications, he may be disqualified. Desir has been a radio personality, but has been trying to “bring new blood” in the Haitian Senate when he ran unsuccessfully in 2005. For the past six months, Luco has not missed a meeting with his potential supporters and fundraisers for his run in the next senatorial elections. If he does, he will put down his job at Vision 2000. According to a showbiz insider, there is a personal precedent that might allow Lucko to follow his dream, like Mario Viau of Signal FM who also announced his intentions to run for the West Senate seat as well. He filed his candidacy last Friday.
