King Kino led a delegation of Delta Airlines officials last week in Haiti where government officials met with Delta Airlines’ Senior Vice-President Robert Cortelyou, and Vice-President Sarvis James to discuss the new service by the American carrier to Haiti.
The discussion also focused on the importance of quality airline service and adequate seating capacity for Haitian travelers. Also present were Haiti Prime Minister Michele Pierre-Louis and Dr. Lagny, Chief Operations Officer of the American Northern Group. This new Delta Airlines route to Haiti is due to the high demand to travel to the country, since travelers have been complaining of poor service and high priced tickets of other airlines. Delta will start its flights in June, using a Boeing 747, according to a close source to King Kino. The source also revealed that the fare will be affordable, compared to what people pay now to travel from New York to Port-au-Prince.
