At least, a dozen times a day Gerald Firmin receives a phone call from Ralph Menelas of Beldjaz or an e-mail inquiry asking him when they will start drawing the band’s management contract. “Being an industry buffer, and a serious producer, we don’t want to let this opportunity pass by”, said one of the musicians who believes that under Kaliko’s management, Beldjaz is looking for to break it into the Haitian market. They need to find an agent or manager who can hook them up with radio airplay, club gigs, and media. Kaliko Productions didn’t want to comment on the rumors. “Gerald is not sure if he is looking for more clients, but he does like their CD”, one of the company’s employees told Showbiz.
