Actor Jimmy Jean-Louis has officially launched a non-profit organization,
“Hollywood Unites for Haiti”, dedicated to providing social assistance to needy students throughout Haiti. The organization’s first event was a fundraising effort where Haitian and American stars gathered for a soccer game, one of many events to be held in the future. Over the past years, jean-Louis had become one of the most successful actors of Haitian descent and has worked diligently to help Haiti along with other professionals in the entertainment industry. Hollywood Unites for Haiti will focus on children abuse, education and sports, and will launch “Webisodes” this summer that will showcase Haitian film projects at the 5th Annual Hollyshort Films Festival.
