The Haitian artist community mourned the death of legend musician Porky, who passed away on December 17, with several musicians and other personalities expressing their sadness at the loss to Haitian music. “This is a tremendous shock and an irreplaceable loss for the Haitian Music Industry”, said Patrick Viaud. “Porky embodied all that is best about Konpa Music, professionalism, dedication and the drive for ever-greater excellence,” he added. Jean Robert Herisse was diagnosed with diabetes, which resulted in the loss of one of his legs.
