Several musicians who play with Mass Compas can go no further since the band cannot travel to the United States. “It’s like a head-in-the-sand”, said one musician’s brother. “Even if Mass Compas can play elsewhere, it’s always a dream for any musician in Haiti to come and play in the U.S.” Every month, a musician or two musicians are fleeing and abandoning the band. Delva, who remains confident about the band’s future, will have to figure out how to keep the musicians in the band. However, some of them seem to have not much energy left to pursue a full time musical career with Mass Compas.
