A choreographer and dancer whose initials are DL, told Showbiz that he’s opening the first openly gay club in Haiti. The artist, whose full name is withheld, has contemplated opening the club for the last year. He was deported to Haiti from the U.S. The club, which opens next month, will function from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., Wednesday through Sunday with a cover charge of $10. “There is a huge gay community in Haiti, although is still underground. I can’t find a job in Haiti since I was deported, I had to think and come up with an idea how to survive; and like everybody else I got to eat,” the man said.
