“Maudite Folle” by Varda Etienne has become a bestseller in Quebec. The book has sold more than 50,000 copies since its release. The book came first on this year’s bestseller chart in Quebec, despite some negative reviews. The popularity of the author has also helped sales of her touching story on bi-polar disorder that she also suffers from. Etienne said that “Maudite Folle” represents her “long interior journey” in search of “the knowledge of the disorder”. Being a bi-polar patient like almost half a million people in Quebec, she has decided to publish her own story to tell how her professional and love life have been affected by it.
